The renowned Dominican journalist Omar Guzmán has been awarded his first Emmy Award, a milestone that celebrates his 25-year career in the sports field.
The recognition was awarded for his television special “Boston Celtics: Al Horford, first Dominican champion of the NBA”, broadcast by Virus Deportivo through Televisión Dominicana. This audiovisual work was awarded in the category “Sports – One-Time Special” during the 48th edition of the Emmy awards of the Boston/New England region.The television special focuses on the historic feat of Al Horford, the first Dominican player to win an NBA championship, and the impact of this achievement on the Dominican and Latino community in the United States.

Guzmán, after receiving the Emmy, highlighted the commitment of his project:The only thing I can say is that dreams come true. Many goals are achieved, but you have to prepare.
