David Adelman, Nuggets Coach, Fined by the NBA

The NBA has announced a financial sanction for Denver Nuggets coach David Adelman. The fine, worth $35,000, was imposed due to his behavior during Sunday’s game. According to the league’s official statement, Adelman used “inappropriate language” directed at the referees and did not leave the court immediately after being ejected. Adelman’s ejection occurred in the final quarter of the game between the Nuggets and the Houston Rockets, held in Denver. The coach received a second technical foul after protesting a referee’s decision involving Nikola Jokic. This was Adelman’s first ejection in the NBA, who took over as Nuggets coach last season. The game ended with the Rockets’ victory by 101-115, ending a six-game winning streak for the Nuggets. It should be noted that Rockets coach Ime Udoka was also fined $25,000 for complaints to the referees in the same game.
