NBA Reveals All-Star Game Starters with New Format
The NBA has confirmed the rosters for the upcoming All-Star Game, marking a milestone with a renewed format that promises intense emotions. The event will feature the participation of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant, who will play together for the first time. This year, the traditional All-Star will leave behind the classic clash between the Eastern and Western conferences, adopting a minitournament under the round robin format. Three teams will compete: two representing the United States, called “Bars” and “Stars”, and a combined team from the Rest of the World. The two best teams will advance to the final. The “Barras” team will be led by James, Curry and Durant, along with Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson, Kawhi Leonard, Norman Powell and Donovan Mitchell. The “Estrellas” team will be made up of Cade Cunningham, Anthony Edwards, Chet Holmgren, Tyrese Maxey, Jalen Duren, Devin Booker, Scottie Barnes and Jalen Johnson. The World team will feature top international figures such as Victor Wembanyama, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jamal Murray, Karl-Anthony Towns, Pascal Siakam, and Deni Avdija. Giannis Antetokounmpo was also selected, although his participation is in doubt due to an injury. The teams will be led by Mitch Johnson (San Antonio Spurs) at the head of “Barras”, J.B. Bickerstaff (Detroit Pistons) as coach of “Estrellas” and Darko Rajakovic (Toronto Raptors) in the World combined team.Regarding records, LeBron James leads the All-Star history with 22 selections, followed by Kevin Durant with 16, Stephen Curry with 12, Giannis Antetokounmpo with 10, and Nikola Jokic with 8 participations.
