Players’ Weekend returns this August for its second consecutive edition, once again promising a space for MLB stars to showcase their individuality and the causes that motivate them off the field.
This event, scheduled from August 15 to 17, 2025, will conclude with the Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. There, the Mets and the Mariners will face each other in the traditional Sunday Night Baseball.
After its successful return in 2024, Players’ Weekend will maintain the three pillars that defined its reintroduction:
- Interests off the field: showcasing the players’ hobbies, pastimes, and creative facets.
- Causes: giving visibility to the charitable and community initiatives that each player supports.
- Acknowledgments: offering a space for players to recognize those who helped them reach the Major League level.
During the weekend, players will use custom uniforms, including bats, hooks, and special caps. Stadiums, broadcasts, and social media will be filled with themed content that will strengthen the bond between players and their followers.
Subsequently, players will have the opportunity to auction off their personalized implements on MLB.com/Auctions, and the proceeds will go to charitable causes chosen by themselves.
In 2024, Players’ Weekend was a resounding success, generating 74.5 million impressions, 2.4 million social media interactions, and a 30% increase in MLB conversation compared to the previous year.
