Punta Cana. – The Latin Baseball Hall of Fame has announced that the outstanding Dominican player Miguel Tejada has been selected to be inducted as an immortal of Latin baseball, forming part of the twelfth class of inductees in the year 2025. Tejada’s selection was finalized after the votes cast by the Circle of Sports Announcers and the International Committee for the Exaltation of the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame. This recognition celebrates his remarkable career, his influence on the sport, and his position as one of the most consistent shortstops in the history of Major League Baseball. Miguel Tejada had a 16-season career in MLB, accumulating more than 2,400 hits, surpassing 300 home runs, and recording more than 1,300 RBIs. He was awarded the American League MVP in 2002, participated in six All-Star Games, and won two Silver Slugger Awards. His leadership, discipline, and passion for the game left an indelible mark on both his teams and among Latino fans.
The official induction ceremony will take place at the end of this year at an international gala, the details of which will be announced soon. During this event, Tejada’s career and legacy will be honored, along with the other inducted members of the Class of 2025.His exaltation represents the eternal recognition of a player who proudly represented the Dominican Republic and all of Latin America.
