Los Prados Crushes El Millón in the TBS District 2025
Santo Domingo – In a demonstration of power, the Los Prados club defeated El Millón this Sunday with a resounding score of 97-68, at the start of the triple-header corresponding to the second date of the TBS Distrito 2025 regular season.
The match, held at the Ricardo -Gioriver- Arias Volleyball Pavilion of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, saw Los Prados, led by Carlos Payano, tie at the top with Bameso.
In the first match, Bameso had proven his worth by defeating Mauricio Báez with a score of 102-92 at the Prudential Center Arena in Newark, New Jersey, United States.
The match between Los Prados and El Millón resulted in an offensive display by the winning team.
Julio Phipps led the attack with 23 points, while Daytone Jennings, the imported reinforcement, added 17 points and 7 rebounds. William Cruz shone with an impressive triple-double, accumulating 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Kelvin Ramírez contributed 11 units and Carlos Pérez, 10, thus completing five players from Los Prados with double figures in scoring.
By El Millón, the North American reinforcement Michael Watkins stood out with a 20-20 of points (23) and rebounds (21). Jessie Zarzuela scored 14 points, Enmanuel Martínez 13 and Andrés Fulgencio 11.
The TBS Distrito 2025, organized by the National District Basketball Association (Abadina), chaired by Colonel (PN) Diego Pesqueira, and the Organizing Committee headed by José Ignacio Paliza, Minister of the Presidency, is dedicated this year to the Dominican Sports Immortal Evaristo Pérez.
