LIDOM Announces 2025-2026 Final Series Schedule
The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) has revealed the official schedule for the exciting Final Series of the 2025-2026 National Championship. This highly anticipated series will pit the Leones del Escogido against the Toros del Este, who will battle for the championship in a best-of-seven game contest.
The competition will begin on Wednesday, January 21, with the first game scheduled for 7:15 PM. The second match will take place on Thursday 22, at 7:30 p.m. The action will continue on Friday 23, again at 7:15 p.m., before a day of rest on Saturday 24.
On Sunday, January 25, the series will resume with the fourth game, scheduled for 5:00 p.m. The fifth game is scheduled for Monday 26, at 7:15 p.m., followed by the sixth match on Tuesday 27, at 7:30 p.m. If necessary, the seventh and decisive game will be played on Wednesday, January 28, at 7:15 p.m.
The calendar includes the alternation of venues between the stadiums of both teams, a common practice in LIDOM that seeks to ensure equitable conditions for the two finalist teams.
The Leones del Escogido secured their spot in the final after a standout performance in the semifinal stage. For their part, the Toros del Este secured their place in the final after a hard-fought victory, after eliminating the Águilas Cibaeñas, in one of the most exciting series of the season.
