Licey Defines Its Rotation for the Weekend

The Tigres del Licey have announced their pitching rotation for the crucial weekend matchups in the 2025-26 autumn-winter championship. They will face the Toros del Este and the Estrellas Orientales in key games. The imported right-handed pitcher, Paolo Espino (0-0), will be the starter for the first game of Friday’s doubleheader. The Tigres will visit the Toros del Este at the Francisco Micheli stadium in La Romana at 4:00 in the afternoon. This will be his third appearance of the season, after having worked seven innings with seven strikeouts in his previous two outings. For the second game of the doubleheader, scheduled for 7:30 p.m., left-hander Nico Tellache (0-0, 2.92) will take the mound. In four appearances, three as a starter, Tellache has limited the opposition to a .205 average, with a 0.97 WHIP, demonstrating dominance and consistency.

On Saturday, at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal stadium at 7:00 p.m., right-hander Cameron Gann (0-0, 3.18) will be in charge of starting against the Estrellas Orientales. Gann will make his fourth start of the tournament, where hitters bat .200 against him in five appearances.

On Sunday, when the blue team visits the Estrellas at the Tetelo Vargas stadium in San Pedro de Macorís at 5:00 p.m., veteran César Valdez (1-0) will take the mound. Valdez is coming off a solid performance last Tuesday against the Gigantes del Cibao, pitching six innings with three hits and one strikeout, achieving his 28th career victory in Dominican winter baseball.
