SANTO DOMINGO – The Operations Management of the Leones del Escogido has finalized an important move, acquiring third baseman Eguy Rosario, coming from the Estrellas Orientales. In exchange, utility player Jorge Mateo joins the green team. Rosario, 26 years old, has a solid career in the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), having played for the Toros del Este, Águilas Cibaeñas and Estrellas Orientales. In his league career, Rosario has participated in 99 games, showing a batting average of .254, with 7 home runs, 42 RBIs, 19 doubles, 46 runs scored, and an OPS of .721. His most notable performance was recorded in the 2024-25 season, where he exhibited an offensive line of .336/.395/.509, hitting 4 home runs and driving in 20 runs in 31 games.
