Barahona, Dominican Republic – The Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, led the delivery of the renovated sports complex in Barahona, following an investment of 14 million pesos. During the inauguration ceremony of the superior basketball tournament, Cruz announced a contribution of one million pesos for the sporting event. In the act, dedicated to him, the minister detailed the improvements made to the facility and assured the organizing committee the necessary financial support for the tournament.

I know that for a long time a fix for this sports complex has been requested here and we didn’t want the year to end without making it a reality. I want Barahona to have its tournament without precariousness and in the coming days a contribution of 500 thousand pesos will be made and another equal contribution will be made in January.
