La Romana – Los Toros del Este have confirmed the return of one of their most outstanding relievers from last season, Joe Corbett, for the 2025-26 campaign. Jesús Mejía, the team’s general manager, was in charge of making the announcement, assuring that the American pitcher will be available for the entire season, without restrictions.

In the 2024-25 season, Corbett participated in 23 games with the Bulls, accumulating 19.2 innings. During this time, he allowed only 9 hits, conceded 4 walks, and struck out 23 batters. His record was 1-0, with an ERA of 1.37 and an adjusted ERA of 279, surpassing the league average by 179%. Corbett also reinforced the Lions in the postseason, playing a crucial role in Escogido’s championship. In the Round Robin and the Final Series, he pitched 11.2 innings without allowing runs, giving up only 3 walks and striking out 14 opponents.
