INEFI Boosts Sports in Azua with Mobile Court and Equipment
Azua – The National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI), through its program “Athletes with INEFI”, has delivered a mobile basketball court and sports equipment to young people in the Los Restauradores neighborhood, in the municipality of Azua.
This initiative’s main objective is to promote sports practice and healthy recreation among the community’s youth. It seeks to positively impact children, adolescents, and young people, promoting healthy lifestyles and integral development through physical activity.
The delivery took place after the dissemination of a video on social media that highlighted the need for sports spaces in the sector. This motivated INEFI to coordinate actions with the Regional Education Office 03, Azua, for the installation of the court.
The handover ceremony was led by María García, in charge of the “Athletes with INEFI” program and national judo champion, representing the general director of INEFI, Alberto Rodríguez. She was accompanied by a commission from the institution to formalize the donation.
In the activity were present Professor Víctor Pérez, representing INEFI, the regional education advisor, Robert Brito, supervisors from the Educational District 03-01 of Azua, as well as students, teachers, and personalities linked to the area of Physical Education.
The community residents expressed their satisfaction with the initiative, highlighting its positive impact on the social and sports aspects of the sector.
