INEFI starts the construction of a sports center at the República de Paraguay Educational Center

Santo Domingo – After two decades of waiting, the República de Paraguay Educational Center will see a dream come true with the start of construction of a covered sports center, promoted by the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI). This project, located in the 15-03 educational district, in the Ciudad Nueva sector, seeks to promote school sports and community well-being. The inaugural event was attended by Alberto Rodríguez Mella, executive director of INEFI, who highlighted the importance of this initiative for sports and social development. The construction of this sports infrastructure responds to the guidelines of President Luis Abinader and the Ministry of Education (MINERD), providing a multifunctional space.

The covered sports center will offer a suitable space for sports practice, socialization, and the holding of various events. In addition to promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, especially among young people, this space will also be available for social and community gatherings. Representative José Manuel Caraballo, on behalf of the residents of Ciudad Nueva and surrounding areas, expressed his gratitude to INEFI for making this dream come true. The director of the Paraguay School, Yris M. Knigth, also thanked the initiative, highlighting the positive impact it will have on students and teachers. Also present at the event were teacher Marinelis Silfa, who gave the religious invocation, and fifth-grade student Odry Alexa Vargas.
