INEFI starts the construction of a sports center at the República de Paraguay Educational Center
Santo Domingo. The National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI) has begun the construction of a covered sports complex at the Republic of Paraguay Educational Center, located in the 15-03 educational district, in the Ciudad Nueva sector. This initiative, expected for two decades, represents a significant step in promoting school sports. The inaugural event, led by the executive director of INEFI, Alberto Rodríguez Mella, marks the formal start of a sports infrastructure project that will benefit students and the community in general.The covered sports center will offer a suitable space for sports practice, socialization, coexistence, and various events. In addition to promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, this space will serve for social and community gatherings. Representative José Manuel Caraballo, on behalf of the residents of Ciudad Nueva and surrounding areas, expressed his gratitude to INEFI for making this long-awaited project a reality.With the beginning of this work, we are fulfilling the requirements of President Luis Abinader and the Ministry of Education (MINERD), carrying out the realization of a space for sports practice, recreation, leisure, and socialization.

Also present at the event were teacher Marinelis Silfa and student Odry Alexa Vargas.Today that dream begins and becomes a reality. For many years, the community of Ciudad Nueva, Zona Colonial, Gazcue and the entire surrounding area, had dreamed of this moment, which Alberto Rodríguez will make a reality.
