Great Dr. Ramón Tallaj Cup: A Boost to Dominican Equestrianism

The Hipódromo Quinto Centenario was the setting for the first edition of the “Gran Copa Dr. Ramón Tallaj”, an event that brought together imported horses aged three years and older. The initiative seeks to promote the development of horse racing in the Dominican Republic.

“We try to contribute in some way to the incentive of the development of equestrianism in the country, impregnating mares with stallions from our farm, so that those fruits are born in the Dominican Republic, with bloodlines of superior quality, and thus, contribute to the development of the breeding of native specimens”, explained Dr. Tallaj, accompanied by the president of the National Equestrian Commission, Mr. Francisco Pavonessa.

This cup is part of the efforts of Dr. Tallaj, a renowned Dominican doctor and equestrian residing in the United States, to promote equestrianism in the country.
