José Reyes Returns to the Gigantes del Cibao as Ambassador
San Francisco de Macorís – Los Gigantes del Cibao have announced the official return of José Reyes, “La Melaza”, who will assume a key role as an ambassador and representative figure of the franchise. The former player, recognized for his outstanding career in Dominican baseball and in the Major Leagues, joins the team with a full agenda of activities that will take place before, during, and after the season. The announcement of Reyes’ return was formalized during a meeting last Wednesday with the team president, Alfredo Acebal Rizek, and the marketing manager, Rafael Almánzar. The former shortstop played with the Gigantes del Cibao for four seasons, between 2000 and 2004, a period in which he built his path towards a successful professional career.
