I’m emptying the tank, there are few openings left and I want to give my best.

The New Yorkers’ offense provided the necessary support from the start of the game. Amed Rosario hit a two-run single in the first inning, and Austin Wells drove in another run in the fifth inning. The definitive attack materialized in the seventh inning, with a simple producer by Paul Goldschmidt, a sacrifice fly by Aaron Judge, and a two-run double by Giancarlo Stanton. Thanks to this victory, the Yankees (86-67) took advantage of Toronto’s (89-64) loss to Tampa Bay, cutting the distance to three games behind the Blue Jays in the American League East Division. Furthermore, they maintain a two-game lead over Houston and Seattle in the fight for the first wild card. Fried’s impressive performance, setting a new strikeout record, comes at a key moment for New York, which seeks to close the regular season strongly and establish itself as a dangerous contender in October.
