France Jackson Immortalized in the Dominican Sports Hall of Fame

Santo Domingo – The prominent former volleyball player Francia Jackson, a key figure of the “golden generation”, will be immortalized on November 16th in the prestigious Dominican Sports Hall of Fame. With this exaltation, Jackson becomes the fourth member of that emblematic national team to receive this high honor, joining Milagros Cabral, Cosiris Rodríguez, and Yudelkis Bautista. Recognized as one of the ten best setters in the world in her time, Francia Jackson was instrumental in taking Dominican volleyball to the top of the international and Olympic stage. A high point in his career was carrying the national flag during the opening ceremony of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.

The announcement was made by Dionisio Guzmán, president of the Hall of Fame’s Permanent Committee.

The immortalization ceremony, which corresponds to the 59th Ceremonial, will be held in the auditorium of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, with businessman Manuel Estrella as honorary president. With the addition of France Jackson, the group of standouts in the Immortal Class of 2025 rises to nine.
