Fedombal Separates Jassel Pérez from the National Basketball Team

SANTO DOMINGO – The Dominican Basketball Federation (Fedombal) announced this Tuesday the separation of the player Jassel Pérez from the men’s national basketball team. The decision was made after evaluating his recent behavior and actions. Pérez’s exclusion from the team is due to unjustified acts of indiscipline, according to Fedombal. The player was absent from training last Sunday, the day before the match against Mexico. The national team participated in the First Qualifying Window for the 2027 Qatar World Cup. The Dominican public turned out to the Volleyball Palace Ricardo Gioriber Arias, in the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, to support the national team.

Fedombal strongly condemns this type of behavior, considering it a disrespect to the institution, the country, the technical staff, the management, and their colleagues.

Fedombal Statement
In the statement, Fedombal emphasizes that this type of action is unacceptable for a player with the national team profile.
