Groups Defined for the U12 National Championship “Robinson Canó Cup” 2026
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – The Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) has announced the formation of the groups for the 7th National U12 Championship “Robinson Canó Cup” 2026. This prestigious tournament will take place from June 10th to 14th at the IPL Academy facilities, located in El Toro de Guerra.
The competition will bring together eight teams that qualified through the national qualifiers. It will feature the participation of the most outstanding young talents of Dominican youth baseball, made up of players born in the years 2014 and 2015.Composition of the Groups
The Group A will be integrated by the provinces of Peravia, Valverde, Duarte and Santo Domingo, current national two-time champion of the contest.
Meanwhile, Group B will be made up of Santiago, Distrito Nacional, Bahoruco and San Pedro de Macorís.
The IPL Academy, recognized as the home of the national baseball teams, will once again be the venue for this event organized by Fedom.
The federation also reported that the championship matches will be broadcast nationwide through the signal of Grupo de Medios Panorama.
As is tradition, this tournament will serve as a platform to select the players who will make up the U12 national team that will represent the Dominican Republic in the next U-12 Pan American Championship of WBSC Americas, whose date and venue are pending confirmation.
The U12 National Championship Robinson Canó Cup has established itself as a key event for the development and projection of the future prospects of Dominican baseball.
