Djokovic Clears Doubts About Retirement and Aims for Longevity in Tennis

The Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has dispelled any speculation about his possible retirement, reaffirming his dedication to the sport and highlighting longevity as one of his main drivers at this stage of his career. Djokovic, winner of 24 Grand Slam titles, spoke before his participation in the Six King Slam, an exhibition held in Saudi Arabia. This is the second time the world number one has participated in this event. During an event prior to the tournament, where he shared the stage with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, Djokovic highlighted the inspiration he gets from figures in other sports who continue to compete at a high level after the age of 40.

“Longevity is one of my biggest motivations. I want to see how far I can go. Seeing LeBron and Ronaldo play until they are 40 is motivating and inspiring for me. Tennis is changing and I want to keep playing to experience that change,” Djokovic expressed.
