Atlanta, USA. The young Dominican prospect Josué De Paula dazzled at Truist Park, leading the National League to victory in the 2025 Futures Game.
De Paula, star gardener for the Los Angeles Dodgers, was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award after hitting an impressive three-run home run, sealing the 4-2 victory over the American League.
De Paula’s hit, connected to a 79.5 mph slider from left-handed pitcher Noah Schultz (White Sox) in the fourth inning, was crucial to overcome a 2-0 deficit and secure the victory for his league, marking his third consecutive win in this prestigious event.
With Dominican and African-American roots, De Paula has a family connection to professional basketball, being a second cousin of former NBA players Stephon Marbury and Sebastian Telfair.
