Washington – Cristiano Ronaldo, an emblematic figure in football and captain of the Portuguese national team, was part of the distinguished delegation that accompanied the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, on a recent visit to the United States. The Al-Nassr Saudi star had the honor of sharing a dinner at the White House with former U.S. President Donald Trump.
During the event, Trump highlighted the presence of the renowned soccer player, mentioning his son, Barron’s, excitement to meet Cristiano Ronaldo.
Accompanied by his wife, Georgina Rodríguez, Ronaldo occupied a privileged place at the main table in the East Room of the White House. Although he was not asked to give a speech, his presence was one of the highlights of the evening.
Former President Trump, in his welcoming speech, praised the Crown Prince, describing him as “a true partner for peace and prosperity” globally and, particularly, in the Middle East.
The dinner was slightly delayed due to adverse weather conditions in Washington D.C., which forced the installation of an additional tent over the red carpet because of the heavy rain.
In addition to Cristiano Ronaldo, another notable guest was Elon Musk, marking the return of the tech magnate to the White House after a period of estrangement.
