Center Maintains Its Unbeaten Status in the TBS Higüey 2025
HIGÜEY, LA ALTAGRACIA – The Centro club continues its winning streak in the 50th Torneo de Baloncesto Superior Altagraciano (TBS Higüey 2025), after defeating San José with a score of 97-91. The match, corresponding to the Sunday day of the regular season, took place in the Leo Tavárez sports center.
With this victory, the Center consolidates its position at the top of the table, maintaining an undefeated record of 3-0. On the other hand, San José suffers its first defeat, remaining with a record of 2-1 in the tournament that awards the Punta Cana Cup, sponsored by the Punta Cana Group.
American reinforcement Kerry Richardson shone once again, achieving his third consecutive double-double with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Nathanael Louis also stood out, contributing 26 points and 14 rebounds.
Jordy Peralta contributed 12 points and five assists, while Albert Fernández added 10 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. Alexander Henríquez closed the account with nine points.
In Saturday’s game against San Francisco, Richardson scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. In the opening game, he achieved 21 points and 11 rebounds against Antonio Guzman. His average so far in the tournament is 25.0 points and 15.0 rebounds per game.
On the San José side, American reinforcement Antonio Gordon led the offense with 23 points. Luis Peña contributed 18 points and six rebounds, followed by Jonathan Guerrero with 15 points, Joan Paniagua with 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Albert Reyes with 13 points.Antonio Guzmán Gets His First Victory
The Antonio Guzmán club achieved its first victory of the tournament by defeating Savica with a score of 96-82. The reinforcement Bryan De la Cruz, from Monseñor Nouel, led the offense with 24 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. José Castillo scored 20 points, Ronny Bort 14 and Ariel De León 12.
