Caminero Connects Two Home Runs and Reaches 30 in the Season

ANAHEIM, USA – Junior Caminero continues to demonstrate his power in the Major Leagues, hitting two home runs in the Tampa Bay Rays’ 5-4 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. With this performance, the young hitter reaches the impressive figure of 30 home runs in the 2025 season. Caminero, who celebrated his 22nd birthday on July 5th, joins a select group of Dominican hitters who have managed to hit 30 home runs in the same season before or upon turning 22 years old. Previously, only Juan Soto and Albert Pujols had achieved this feat.

Junior Caminero AGAIN!

The Rays infielder started igniting the offense early, punishing a changeup from left-handed pitcher Tyler Anderson with an imposing 447-foot home run to left field, the longest of his career. This hit gave his team a two-run lead. Subsequently, in his next at-bat, he demonstrated his power again with another home run, this time 400 feet to center field, extending the difference to four runs.

Since spring training I set this goal for myself and thank God I achieved it. It means a lot to me.

Caminero
The Caminero season has shown notable contrasts between his home and away performances. At Steinbrenner Field, he has recorded an offensive line of .323/.359/.620 with 14 doubles and 18 home runs. However, his away statistics show .174/.219/.383 with six doubles and 12 home runs. The Rays, who are on their longest road trip in two decades, hope that their star third baseman’s offensive performance will translate into an improvement in their away results. With this performance, Caminero solidifies his position as one of the most exciting prospects in Dominican baseball and Major League Baseball, building a career that, at his young age, already points to being historic.
