Dolphins’ Bayron Matos Cleared After Injury

The Dominican offensive lineman for the Miami Dolphins, Bayron Matos, has been discharged from the hospital this Tuesday. Matos was airlifted last week due to an injury suffered during a team practice. The incident occurred last Wednesday, at the end of practice, when Matos collided with a teammate and was left lying on the field. The doctors attended to him for more than ten minutes before stabilizing him for transport.

We are relieved and grateful to report that he has regained mobility in all his limbs and is stable. He will remain under the care of medical professionals for continuous observation and recovery.

Following the incident, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel expressed his relief upon learning that Matos had regained feeling and movement in his limbs. “He’s improving more and more and that’s what we’re focused on,” McDaniel commented.

Bayron Matos, a product of the NFL’s ‘International Player Pathway 2024’ program, was signed by Miami on April 28, 2024. The player is seeking to secure a spot on the 53-player roster for the 2025 season. The team has not specified a recovery time for Matos. The Miami Dolphins will begin their preseason on August 10 against the Chicago Bears, followed by games against the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars. Their regular season debut will be on September 7 against the Indianapolis Colts.
