Codebal Boosts Continuous Training for Basketball Coaches
The Dominican College of Basketball Coaches (Codebal) maintains its commitment to the training and updating of Dominican technicians, organizing the International Recertification and Update Clinic. Melvyn López, president of Codebal, announced that the clinic will have the participation of the Spanish coach Paco Redondo, assistant to the coaching staff of the Spanish basketball team. The training activity began this Wednesday and will run until Monday, February 26, offering various sessions in different locations.Clinic Details
The first phase of the clinic was held on Wednesday in the Paraninfo of the Faculty of Economics of UASD, aimed at coaches of categories C and D of the Metropolitan Zone and San Cristóbal. On Saturday, February 24, the training will continue in the Tropez hall of the Embassy Hotel in Santo Domingo, focused on national coaches of categories A and B from all over the country. On Sunday 25th, the clinic will move to the Auditorium of UASD in Hato Mayor del Rey, for coaches of categories C and D of the Eastern Region. The last day is scheduled for Monday 26th, at the Auditorium of the Santiago City Hall, intended for coaches of categories C and D of the North Region.The clinic is supported by BanReservas, Adidas, Opal Jeans, and the Municipal Mayor’s Office of Santiago. This initiative is part of the annual technical training program promoted by Fedombal, under the direction of Rafael Uribe, focused on basketball coaches and referees.The 2026 International Recertification and Update Clinic is endorsed by the Dominican Basketball Federation (Fedombal), presided over by Rafael Uribe, and is sponsored and supported by the Ministry of Sports and the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI), directed by Kelvin Cruz and Alberto Rodríguez, respectively.
