HIGÜEY, LA ALTAGRACIA – Club Antonio Guzmán secured its spot in the semifinal series of the 50th Torneo de Baloncesto Superior Altagraciano (TBS Higüey 2025) after defeating Cambelén with a score of 93-81 this Sunday.
The match, which took place at the Leo Tavárez sports center, saw Antonio Guzmán and Savica lead the table, both with a 6-4 record, securing their place in the next phase of the tournament.
José Castillo was the top scorer for Antonio Guzmán, scoring 29 points. Ariel De León contributed 25 points and Oliver García, a reinforcement from Santiago, achieved a double-double with 24 points, 12 assists, and 5 rebounds.
By Cambelén, Adonis López stood out with double figures in points (18) and rebounds (17). José Luis De la Cruz scored 15 points, Junior Fortuna contributed 13, Francisco Campusano 12 and Nathanael Bonet 10.
San Francisco beats Savica
In another exciting match of the day, San Francisco defeated Savica with a score of 102-92, thanks to the outstanding performance of Luis Feliz, who scored 31 points.
Feliz also contributed with 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Oscar Montero added 22 points and Jorky Mota 17. For Savica, Dayker Cedano achieved a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
The Basketball Association of La Altagracia Province (ABAPA), under the presidency of deputy Jorge Tavárez, organizes this tournament dedicated to Monsignor Jesús Castro Marte.

The 2025 TBS Higüey regular season will conclude this Tuesday, where the remaining three spots for the semifinal series will be defined.
The Cambelén and Centro teams will face each other at 7:20 PM, followed by the match between San Francisco and San José at 9:00.
