The Anti-Violence Commission has proposed drastic measures following the incidents that occurred in the match between Sevilla and Betis on November 30 at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium.
Proposed Sanctions
Among the sanctions, the closure of the stadium for a month and a fine of 120,000 euros for Sevilla are included. These measures respond to the incidents that occurred during the match, according to the commission.
The National Sports Office (OND) of the National Police has gathered information on the throwing of objects onto the field and the display of banners that incite hatred or are linked to radical groups such as Biris Norte.
The Law 19/2007 prohibits “promotion or support” for radical fan groups.
The Seville derby began with a tifo in homage to the Biris on their 50th anniversary, which occupied an entire end of the stadium and showed a different drawing than the one announced for its authorization.
The security coordinator warned about the possible link to the radical group, a possibility ruled out by Sevilla. The authorship of the tifo was claimed by the ultras on social media.
Furthermore, other hate-inciting banners were detected in the stands.
The commission has proposed a fine of 40,000 euros for Sevilla and 30,000 euros for Betis for non-compliance with security measures in the training sessions prior to the derby.
On the stands of both teams, flares were detected, elements prohibited due to the risk they pose. The difference in the fines lies in the volume of smoke bombs.
Other Sanctions
Sanctions have been proposed for 107 fans of Valladolid, Sporting de Gijón and Oviedo for disturbances that occurred on October 19 at the José Zorrilla stadium.
According to the police report, radicals from the three clubs met before the match, throwing objects and insults. Fines of up to 3,001 euros are proposed for those involved.
A fine of 1,500 euros is also proposed for a Rayo Vallecano fan who prevented Barcelona players from giving shirts to some children.
The police report points to a member of the radical group Bukaneros.
