Ángel de la Cruz will lead the Santo Domingo Superior Basketball Tournament
Santo Domingo – The Basketball Association of the Province of Santo Domingo (ABASADO) has confirmed that the lawyer Ángel de la Cruz, current president of the Presidential Commission for Support to Provincial Development, will preside over the Organizing Committee of the tenth Superior Basketball Tournament of the province. The announcement was made after a key meeting between the ABASADO, franchise representatives, and the official. In this meeting, the start date of the event was formalized, scheduled for March 4, 2026.De la Cruz expressed his honor for the designation and reaffirmed his commitment to the sports and social development of the province. During the meeting, the essential logistical and operational aspects for the tournament were discussed, establishing a roadmap for the success of the event’s tenth anniversary. The meeting was supported by the president of ABASADO, William Cabral, who highlighted the importance of De la Cruz’s experience to lead this historic edition. Figures from the sports world and representatives of the franchises were present at the meeting, including the Immortal of Sport Víctor Hansen, Agustín Matos, Augusto Martínez, and Erixon Quiroz Brito.
