Miluxi López, New Godmother of the Águilas Cibaeñas
Santiago – The Águilas Cibaeñas have announced Miluxi López as their godmother for the 2025-2026 winter baseball season. Miluxi, daughter of the renowned sports commentator Mendy López, who passed away in February of this year, will assume this important role.
The Cibao organization highlighted through its digital platforms Miluxi’s strong bond with the team, a family connection that has left a lasting mark on the history of the Eagles.
Miluxi, 23 years old, will be accompanied by the memory of her father and the support of her mother, Xiomara widow López, thus strengthening the tradition of the López family with the yellow team.
It is important to remember that Miluxi’s brothers, Mendy López Jr. and Andrés López (Mendito), were also part of the Águilas, contributing to the team’s rich sporting history.
With this designation, the Águilas Cibaeñas honor the start of a new season and, at the same time, pay tribute to an emblematic figure in sports narration.
