Ronald Acuña Jr. confirms his participation in the Home Run Derby 2025

The star Venezuelan outfielder, Ronald Acuña Jr., has confirmed his participation in the T-Mobile Home Run Derby 2025. The event will take place on July 14th at Truist Park in Atlanta, home of the Braves.

The news was revealed by the player himself during an interview, generating great expectation among the fans, especially those from Atlanta, who will have the opportunity to see him in action in their own stadium.

This will be Acuña Jr.’s third participation in the Home Run Derby, but the first since 2022. After missing a large part of the 2024 season due to a left knee injury, his return has been impressive, driving him to demonstrate his power.

Since his debut in 2018, Acuña leads Major League Baseball with 24 home runs of 450 feet or more, surpassing prominent figures.

In the 2025 season so far, he has hit nine home runs in just 104 at-bats, projecting to surpass 25 home runs, despite having missed the first 49 games of the schedule.

In 2023, Acuña had a historic season, batting .337 with 41 home runs and 73 stolen bases, being the first player to combine more than 40 home runs with more than 70 steals in the same campaign, which earned him the National League MVP award.

In his two previous Derby appearances (2019 and 2022), Acuña showed his power, falling by a narrow margin to Pete Alonso.

Atlanta’s public eagerly awaits Acuña’s participation, who has the opportunity to make history at the home run festival.
