Young man captured with illegal weapon in Ensanche Isabelita
In a strategic action aimed at strengthening citizen security, agents from the Santo Domingo Oriental Regional Directorate of the National Police managed to arrest an individual in flagrante delicto while carrying out preventive patrol duties in the Ensanche Isabelita sector.
The detainee was identified as Wilmin Daniel Sosa, 20 years old. At the time of being intercepted by the uniformed officers, the young man was traveling on a white Z3000 brand motorcycle, model CG200.
Details of the police operation
During the search procedure, the acting officers located in the suspect’s possession a Zoraki brand pistol, 9-millimeter caliber, with a gray and silver color scheme. Authorities are currently investigating the origin of the weapon and the reasons why the detainee was carrying it without the required legal documentation.
The individual, along with the seized firearm and motor vehicle, has been placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities to further the investigations and proceed with the due legal process.
