Luis Abinader receives credentials from nine new ambassadors at the National Palace
In a formal ceremony held this Wednesday at the National Palace, the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, officially received the credentials of nine ambassadors who will begin their diplomatic duties in the country. This meeting reaffirms the Dominican Government’s commitment to strengthening ties of cooperation and bolstering bilateral relations with various nations around the world.
The diplomats who presented their documents to the head of state represent the following countries:
- Korea
- Honduras
- Canada
- Israel
- Chile
- Indonesia
- Pakistan
- Slovenia
- Jordan
During the ceremony, the president was accompanied by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ito Bisonó, who fulfilled one of his first official responsibilities at the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event allowed President Abinader to hold direct dialogues with each of the representatives, addressing topics of common interest for the development of the nation’s foreign relations.
