Graciela Abinader conducts judicial observation day in gender-based violence courts

In a day focused on strengthening her academic training, Graciela Abinader, daughter of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, visited the judicial facilities specialized in gender-based violence. The law student took advantage of this approach to delve into the actual functioning of the Dominican justice system.

Magistrate Rosalmy Nikaurys Guerrero, the presiding judge of the court, was in charge of receiving the young woman, who is currently pursuing her studies at the Specialized Institute for Research and Training in Legal Sciences. The central purpose of the visit was to allow the student to observe firsthand the dynamics that take place during hearings and the management of judicial processes.

The importance of practice in Law

During the tour, Magistrate Guerrero underscored the importance of future legal professionals complementing their theoretical lessons with practical experiences in the courts. According to the judge, this type of immersion is fundamental to understanding the responsibilities of the actors involved in the judicial system.
