Kaulig Racing Releases Josh Williams

Kaulig Racing has terminated the contract of NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Josh Williams after less than two years of collaboration. Williams, 31 years old, was behind the wheel of the No. 11 Chevrolet since the beginning of the 2024 season, achieving six top-ten finishes in 54 races. Of those six highlighted results, only two have occurred in the 21 races this season. Williams took seventh place at Rockingham on April 19 and sixth at Charlotte on May 24. In the last race at Indianapolis, he finished in 22nd position.

As many of you have seen, Kaulig Racing has made the decision to release me for the rest of the season. This has been a difficult day for my family, friends, long-time partners, and fans, whom I cannot thank enough for being by my side throughout this. We will be back soon and look forward to a much brighter chapter in my racing career. I wish the best to my guys on the 11 team.

Williams has participated in 231 Xfinity races without wins in the last 10 years. Previously, he raced for DGM Racing, B.J. McLeod Motorsports, King Autosport and Jimmy Means Racing. Kaulig Racing announced that it will use several drivers in the No. 11 car for the remaining 12 races of the Xfinity schedule, which continues this Saturday at Iowa Speedway. The first of these is Carson Hocevar, who will drive the No. 11 Chevrolet in the HyVee Perks 250. Hocevar, 22 years old, competes in the NASCAR Cup Series for Spire Motorsports. This will be only his seventh participation in an Xfinity race.

I love to run, anywhere, anytime, so when I was asked to drive the Kaulig Xfinity car in Iowa, I jumped at the opportunity. I am grateful to the Kaulig Racing team for believing in me and to Jeff Dickerson and my Spire team for allowing me to have fun with the 11 team this weekend. I promise to make the most of it.
