In a race full of emotions and unexpected twists, Chase Elliott took the victory at Kansas Speedway, securing his place in the third round of the NASCAR playoffs. The driver, starting from eighth position, starred in a spectacular comeback in the last two laps of the extension, surpassing his competitors and crossing the finish line in first place. The race, marked by multiple yellow flags in the final stages, seemed destined for Denny Hamlin, who dominated much of the competition, leading a total of 159 laps. However, a series of setbacks in pit stops and other incidents prevented him from achieving his 60th career victory. The excitement reached its peak with the red flag, following an incident involving Zane Smith. In the final restart, Bubba Wallace and Christopher Bell were vying for victory, but the situation changed drastically. Hamlin, in an attempt to regain positions, was involved in an incident with Wallace, a driver for the team he co-directs. At that moment, Elliott seized the opportunity and overtook Hamlin, securing the victory.
What a crazy finish! I hope everyone enjoyed it. I certainly did.

Hamlin, visibly disappointed, finished in second place. Despite the problems with the power steering in the last laps, Hamlin was looking to secure his place in the next round and achieve his 60th victory. Simply very disappointing. I wanted it a lot. It would have been the 60th for me. Bell and Chase Briscoe, Hamlin’s teammates, completed the top four. Wallace, for his part, finished fifth and, despite not achieving victory, was satisfied with his performance.I wasn’t going to lift, so I didn’t know what was going to happen. In the end, it was what it was. It was really cool, starting eighth and somehow winning.

The next challenge will be an elimination race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway mixed circuit. The drivers at risk of being eliminated from the playoffs are Ross Chastain, Austin Cindric, Reddick, and Wallace. To have a chance to win with the way we started… you could have fooled me. We weren’t good.
Bubba Wallace
Obviously, there’s only one thing we can do in Charlotte (win), and that’s what we’ll focus on.
