UFC Comes to the White House: Trump Announces Date for Historic Event

The world of mixed martial arts is preparing for an unprecedented event. According to former President Donald Trump, the expected UFC evening at the White House will take place on June 14th. Trump made the announcement during a speech on Sunday in Norfolk, Virginia, highlighting that the date coincides with his 80th birthday.

“On June 14th of next year, we will have a great UFC fight at the White House, right on the White House grounds,” Trump said.

Although the UFC has not yet officially confirmed the date, the event is expected to be held on the South Lawn. The event is being organized as part of the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the United States. UFC CEO Dana White has revealed significant details about the event. Official weigh-ins are planned at the Lincoln Memorial, and it’s estimated that just replacing the White House lawn will cost $700,000. In addition, it has been mentioned that the fighters could walk to the octagon from the Oval Office. White also indicated that the UFC will not begin scheduling fights for the event until the first quarter of 2026. The two-division former champion, Conor McGregor, has expressed interest in facing American Michael Chandler at this event. Likewise, Jon Jones, who retired from MMA earlier this year, has expressed his desire to return specifically for this card.
