UFC at the White House: Date Revealed by Trump
The expected UFC live event at the White House, according to former President Donald Trump, will take place on June 14. Trump, during a speech on Sunday in Norfolk, Virginia, revealed the date that coincides with his 80th birthday.Although the UFC has not yet confirmed the official date, the event is expected to be held in the South Garden and is planned in anticipation of the 250th anniversary of American Independence. UFC CEO Dana White has mentioned that the official weigh-ins will take place at the Lincoln Memorial and that just replacing the White House lawn will cost $700,000. White also indicated that the fighters will walk to the octagon from the Oval Office. White has also stated that the UFC will not begin booking fights for the event until the first quarter of 2026. Two-division former champion Conor McGregor has expressed interest in facing American Michael Chandler at the event. Jon Jones, who retired from MMA earlier this year, has also expressed his desire to return specifically for this card.“On June 14th of next year, we are going to have a big UFC fight at the White House, right on the grounds of the White House,” Trump stated.
