Revealed Fight Card for Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua on December 19th
Most Valuable Promotions has announced the preliminary fights for the highly anticipated showdown between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua, which will take place on December 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The event will be streamed live via Netflix. The fight card, which was originally scheduled for Paul’s fight with Gervonta Davis, remains largely intact. The co-main event will be Alycia Baumgardner’s defense of her unified super featherweight title against Leila Beaudoin. However, a change has occurred on the main card. Anderson Silva will no longer face former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman in the initial bout. Instead, also former UFC champion Tyron Woodley will step into the ring to face Silva in a six-round cruiserweight bout. Both Silva and Woodley have suffered defeats against Paul in the past. Silva lost by unanimous decision to Paul in 2022, while Woodley lost both of his fights against “The Problem Child”, a split decision in August 2021 and a knockout loss in the rematch in December of the same year.Weidman was forced to withdraw from the fight against Silva due to an injury. Woodley, who held the UFC welterweight title from 2016 to 2019, will seek his first boxing victory against one of the greatest champions in MMA history.I believe that changes always happen for a reason. I am focused on doing a good job. Always respecting my opponent and showing total respect for the world of boxing.
