Edgar retired from MMA in 2022 with a record of 24-11-1. The former lightweight champion is a beloved figure in UFC history, known for his bravery and willingness to take on larger opponents during his career. He won the UFC lightweight title despite being a heavy underdog against BJ Penn in 2010. Edgar competed for the 145-pound title on two occasions, in 2013 and 2019, losing to José Aldo and Max Holloway. Originally from Toms River, New Jersey, Edgar was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2024. The BKFC 82 event, which will be held at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, will be headlined by two other UFC veterans, Mike Perry and Jeremy Stephens.
