Marcus Stroman continues his rehabilitation with the Yankees

New York Yankees pitcher Marcus Stroman had a rehab start in the Eastern League with the Double-A Somerset Patriots, facing the Erie Seawolves, a Detroit Tigers affiliate.

In this presentation, Stroman allowed five runs, ten hits, and two walks in 3⅔ innings.

Of the 65 pitches thrown, 41 were strikes. In his three appearances with Somerset, the pitcher has an ERA of 6.97, with nine strikeouts and five walks in 10⅓ innings.

Stroman, 34 years old and a right-handed pitcher, has been out of action due to inflammation in his left knee. His last appearance with the Yankees was on April 11, after starting the season with a 0-1 record and an ERA of 11.57.

In the game, he allowed doubles to Jake Holton in the first and third innings. Subsequently, he gave up a two-run double to Chris Meyers, who scored thanks to a single by Justice Bigbie.
