Matt Wallner to Paternity List; Carson McCusker Recalled by the Twins

The Minnesota Twins announced this Saturday the inclusion of outfielder Matt Wallner on the paternity list. Given this situation, the team has called up Carson McCusker from their Triple-A affiliate, St. Paul.

Wallner, who hit a home run for the Twins in the 9-4 victory over Kansas City on Friday night, could be out for up to three games.

The Twins are 5.5 games out of the last American League Wild Card spot entering Saturday’s games.

So far this season, Wallner is batting .218, with 16 home runs and 27 RBIs.

McCusker, for his part, has one hit in six at-bats with the Twins during the current season. With the St. Paul Saints, his batting average is .245, including 19 home runs and 61 RBIs.
