Twins Place David Festa on Injured List

The Minnesota Twins have activated starting pitcher David Festa from the 15-day injured list due to right shoulder inflammation.

The decision, retroactive to Tuesday, forced the Twins to take action. Consequently, the team called up rookie right-handed pitcher Travis Adams from Triple-A St. Paul.

Festa, 25 years old, last participated in Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he allowed four runs on four hits, including three home runs. In 5 1/3 innings, he walked one batter and struck out five.

This season, the right-handed pitcher has a 3-4 record with a 5.40 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 53 1/3 innings in 11 games (10 starts).

Since his rookie season in 2024, Festa has a 5-10 record with an ERA of 5.12 in 25 games (23 starts).

Adams, also 25 years old, has a 1-0 record with a 6.00 ERA in three relief appearances this season.
