Brandon Hyde Joins Tampa Bay Rays as Senior Advisor
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Former Baltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde has been hired by the Tampa Bay Rays as a senior advisor of baseball operations.
Hyde, 52, managed the Orioles from December 2018 until May 18, the date he was fired with the team holding a 15-28 record and in last place in the American League East Division.
Hyde was voted as the American League Manager of the Year in 2023, after Baltimore won the American League East Division for the first time since 2014. His record with the Orioles was 421-492. In addition, he had a record of 0-1 as interim manager of the Marlins in June 2011.
