The Pittsburgh Pirates activated shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa from the 10-day injured list this Monday.
Simultaneously, the team made the decision to send Liover Peguero to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Kiner-Falefa had been placed on the injured list on May 3, retroactive to May 1, due to a right hamstring strain.
It was reported that the player had resumed baseball-related activities and was expected to run the bases over the weekend to assess the condition of his tendon.
Before the injury, the 30-year-old player was batting .280, with seven RBIs and six stolen bases.
Peguero, for his part, heads to Indianapolis after having connected two hits in nine at-bats in four games with Pittsburgh, after being called up on May 2.
