Alec Bohm Leaves Game with Injury
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm had to leave Saturday’s game in San Diego due to a left rib cage contusion.
Bohm was hit by a pitch from Padres pitcher Yu Darvish in the lower left back in the second inning.
Despite the hit, Bohm managed to advance to second base thanks to a wild pitch and later scored thanks to a single by Nick Castellanos and a throwing error by Darvish, putting the Phillies up 1-0.
Bohm was replaced at the bottom of the fourth inning by Edmundo Sosa.
