Orioles Activate Colton Cowser from Injured List
The Baltimore Orioles have activated outfielder Colton Cowser from the 60-day injured list this Monday, marking his return to the team ahead of a six-game road series.The team rested on Monday before facing the Mariners and Athletics on this road trip. The last-place Orioles arrive after a three-game sweep against the Chicago White Sox.
Cowser had been out of action due to a fracture in his left thumb, and has not participated in games since May 30.
Simultaneously, Baltimore designated utility player Cooper Hummel for assignment.Last season, Cowser hit 24 home runs, finishing second in the American League Rookie of the Year voting.
