Mets Make Bullpen Changes

The New York Mets, amidst a challenging season, have made adjustments to their relief corps. The team announced significant moves in their bullpen on Wednesday, seeking to strengthen their performance on the mound.

Left-handed pitchers José Castillo and Richard Lovelady were removed from the active roster. Instead, the team called up two pitchers from the minor leagues, seeking new options for the bullpen.

Jonathan Pintaro, right-handed pitcher, was selected to join the Major League team. It is important to note that Pintaro played for an independent team in Montana before being signed by the Mets in June 2024.

Left-hander Brandon Waddell was called up from Triple-A Syracuse. Waddell has already appeared in four relief games with the Mets this season, accumulating an ERA of 3.38 in 10 and two-thirds innings.
