Mets Roster Moves: Marte to IL, Winker Returns
The New York Mets have made several moves on their roster, including placing outfielder Starling Marte on the injured list due to a contusion in his right knee.
Simultaneously, outfielder Jesse Winker was activated from the 60-day injured list.
In addition to these changes, the Mets selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Alejandro Carrillo from Triple-A Syracuse.
Right-handed pitcher Zach Pop was designated for assignment, while fellow right-handed pitcher Tylor Megill (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list.
Left-handed pitcher Sean Manaea was sent to Triple-A Syracuse for an outing on Tuesday, continuing his minor league rehabilitation assignment, nearing his season debut after recovering from an elbow injury. Manaea could return to the Major Leagues on Sunday.
On the other hand, right-handed pitcher Kodai Senga (hamstring) appears to be on track to return from the injured list on Friday.
